What the calculator actually gives you

Enter your vehicle and options and the calculator returns a cost range built from published labor-rate guides and aftermarket and OEM parts pricing, not a quote pulled from any specific shop's books. Treat it as background for the conversation you are about to have with a mechanic, not a substitute for that conversation. Your actual bill hinges on your exact vehicle, the shop you pick, and what parts they have on hand that day.

How current the numbers stay

The pricing model gets revisited on a rolling basis as labor and parts data shift, but it can trail what shops are charging in real time, particularly when refrigerant prices spike or a parts shortage hits. Nothing on this site promises a specific dollar figure. Always get an itemized quote in writing before you tell a shop to start the job.

What you can and cannot do here

Reading the guides and running the calculator for your own use, personal or otherwise non-commercial, is exactly what this site is for. Scraping the pages, reposting the articles elsewhere without asking first, or pointing automated scripts at the calculator or the contact form is not.
